GoVolta starts Amsterdam–Berlin open-access service

NETHERLANDS: Dutch startup GoVolta has started open-access passenger services between Amsterdam and Berlin, adding a new operator on the Netherlands–Germany corridor.
The first Amsterdam–Berlin service began running on March 19, with Amsterdam–Hamburg services due to follow from March 20.
Low-frequency launch on established corridor
The Amsterdam–Berlin service is running three times a week, giving the operator a limited initial presence on the corridor.
Trains are formed of refurbished former SNCB coaches, rather than new rolling stock.
The launch introduces a new commercial operator into daytime international traffic between the Netherlands and Germany, where services are already established.
