Germany blocks Cosco takeover of Hamburg intermodal operator

GERMANY: The federal government has blocked Chinese state shipping group Cosco from buying 80% of Konrad Zippel Spediteur, a Hamburg company that moves port containers inland by rail, barge and truck. The competition authority had cleared the deal in February.
